Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we handle personal data on this website. We try to keep it short and truthful — it describes only what the site actually does.

Effective from 26 July 2026

The data controller is Unity Christ s.r.o., company ID 23122391, registered at Erbenova 130/9, 150 00 Prague 5 – Košíře, Czech Republic.

What this website does and does not do

This website is a static presentation. It has no database, no user accounts, and no login. We do not build visitor profiles, do not sell data to third parties, and do not use advertising or tracking systems.

  • No registration or sign-in is required.
  • We use no cookies for advertising, measurement, or profiling.
  • We run no website analytics on this site.
  • We do not collect data about children, or about anyone else beyond what is described below.

The contact form

The form on the Contact page submits nothing to a server. Once you fill it in and press the button, it simply opens your own email client with a prepared message that you send yourself. The website neither stores nor forwards what you typed.

If you do write to us, we process the content of your email and your email address in order to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, or the performance of a contract and negotiations leading to one.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses no cookies.

We store only two technical values in your browser's local storage so that the site behaves the way you set it. These are not personal data, they are never transmitted anywhere, and you can remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

  • dark_mode — remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode.
  • lang_pref — remembers the site language you chose.

Fonts, images, and embedded video

We host both fonts and images on our own server. Loading a page therefore sends no request to Google Fonts or any other external service.

Videos are embedded in a lightweight way: until you click play, only a preview image from our own server is shown and nothing is sent to YouTube. Once you click play, the player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, which means your request reaches Google. From that point on, Google's privacy policy applies.

Links to other services

This site links to our social network social.unitychrist.org and to our mobile app on the App Store and Google Play. Those are separate services with their own terms and their own data processing — this policy does not cover them.

Likewise, we are not responsible for the content or the data processing of the partner church and organisation websites we link to.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger, which acts as our processor. The hosting server routinely creates access logs containing the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page address, and browser details. These serve to keep the site running and secure.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website. We do not link these records to your identity and do not use them to measure traffic.

How long we keep data

We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, and afterwards for a period matching our legitimate interests, but no longer than 3 years from the last contact. Hosting access logs are retained for a short period according to the hosting provider's settings.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights regarding the data we process about you:

  • the right of access and to a copy of your data,
  • the right to have inaccurate data corrected,
  • the right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”),
  • the right to restriction of processing,
  • the right to data portability,
  • the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Supervisory authority

If you believe we are not handling your data properly, please contact us first. You may also contact the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz, or the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the way the website works changes — for example if we add traffic measurement or a new form. The current version is always available at this address, and the effective date is shown at the top.

A question about your data?

Write to us and we will reply as soon as possible. Please tell us what your question or request concerns.
